Vickie - I am sure that there are no words that anyone can say that can make your loss any less painful. Your message is spot on. One of the local TV stations here in Atlanta has posted a pledge that adults and teens can sign containing a promise not to drive distracted. I just posted a page about this on this blog: http://bit.ly/notext. Thanks for your comment and best to you.

my husband whom i loved dearly was killed in ca by a woman drinking and texting. i am ga born and ga bred but i will never get over his death. he was a decorated army veteran. what i want say at least strive for the hands free device. stop texting altogether. because you never know it could be your wife our child or a husband just going to the store and get hit with no where to go. please do not text, do not use your cell phone. its distacting and it is so hard to loose someone you love at such a senseless act. Thank You.
